Current Opening: Sales & Account Manager

Agro Roasters is an organic coffee roaster located in Vancouver, and a key player in the rapidly growing specialty coffee industry in Canada. We pride ourselves in producing high-quality, accessible coffee to grocery stores, cafes and restaurants, and directly to consumers, while supporting farmers and their families across the world— from South and Central America, to Africa, to Asia.

We are currently searching for an experienced Sales & Account Manager to join our team. In this role, you will help grow our sales and expand our customer base at both a local and national level, contributing to our rapid growth.

The ideal candidate will have significant sales experience, ideally in the coffee and grocery sectors, with strong ethics and excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. You will be a cheerleader for our brand in front of customers and internally, and represent our values.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow sales by building strong and long-term relationships with wholesale clients— grocery stores and food service
  • Identify and seek new business opportunities, and convert leads in order to meet or surpass sales goals
  • Lead meetings, coffee tastings and training with current and prospective clients
  • Visit customers regularly and offer exceptional customer service, understand clients’ needs and resolve issues
  • Increase brand awareness and act as an ambassador for Agro Roasters
  • Represent our brand and values with current and prospective clients, and at local events
  • Plan and launch promotional initiatives

 

Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ sales experience, ideally within food service and grocery stores sales
  • Experience within the coffee industry would be a strong asset
  • Proven track record of successfully managing customer relationships, and meeting sales targets
  • Impeccable interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong sense of ethics and business acumen
  • Excellent organizational, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
  • Highly self-motivated and ability to work independently, while contributing to team-wide efforts
  • Experience and/or interest in learning about basic equipment maintenance (brewers, espresso machines, hot water tanks etc.)
  • Availability to occasionally work weekends and evenings, as needed
